UPDATE HISTORICAL PROBATION/DCFS INFORMATION
FUNCTION: This transaction is used to update or delete historical Probation or DCFS information for a record already on file.
The PUPD mask can be displayed by two options:
A. Through the JAI MENU
B. Through the JAIN mask
The procedures for using the options are as follows:
A. Through the JAI MENU:
1. Key the transaction code PUPD
2. Key the JAIN
3. Press the ENTER key
B. Through the JAIN mask:
1. When processing data for the same JAIN, press the PF4 key; or key PUPD in the lower right corner and press ENTER key.
2. When processing data for a different JAIN, key the JAIN in space shown on screen and press the PF4 key; or key the new JAIN, key PUPD in the lower right corner and press the ENTER key.
The response will be the PUPD mask with up to seven lines of historical information available for updating. PUPD is a multi-page transaction; data not displayed on page 1 may be accessed by paging with the PA1 key or the Page Up key. If changes are to be made to more than on PUPD screen, each screen must be changed and entered individually.
The first line of data contains the JAIN, name, sex, descent, date of birth and page number. The remainder of the screen contains historical information currently on file. The user is to verify that the JAIN and name are correct before making updates.
To change information, key the new data in the space below the current data field. Only fields containing data can be updated. When new information needs to be added to a line, delete the line on PUPD and make a correct entry on PADD.
To delete an entire line of data, key the word "Delete" under the line to be deleted in the Prior Office field.
To delete Court Number or DPSS (DCFS) Number, key a minus sign (-) in the first position below the data.

If incorrect data is entered, PUPD will be redisplayed with the incorrect field(s) highlighted. Key correct data and press ENTER key.
Upon successful completion of the transaction, a message will be returned on the JAIN mask indicating that historical information has been updated, or viewed with no updates.
